Volunteer Positions
English Club Volunteers: OPEN.
- Facilitating small groups on conversational English club nights.
- Coordinating English club activities outside of the club, eg; Big Day Out, social get-togethers and other activities.
- An administration person to develop a database and statistics of the club activities and outcomes.
Short-Term Teams from outside Vietnam:
- These teams are normally up to 8 people and stay for 7 – 10 days.
- Some teams combine this trip with a holiday at the end of their project.
- CapacityVietnam is responsible for all in-country organisations for the team.
- The volunteers fund these trips themselves and often find they have a
life-changing experience.
- Teams will also be asked to fundraise for CapacityVietnam in their home country.
- This supports the projects in disadvantaged rural communities where there are often no mental health literacy programs.
Projects currently available include:
- English clubs and English clubs Big Day Out.
- LifeSkills training for disadvantaged young people.
- Professional skills training in the mental health arena.
- Other opportunities could be explored for the specific needs of a team.
